Save the Battle Flag Of the A l e x a n d e r G u a r d s

The orginal battle flag of Company E First Regiment Kentucky Volunteers is in serious condition. Unless something is done quickly, this flag will be lost forever. This flag was donated to the Museum of the Confederacy in 1907, by the widow of the last company commander, Capt.. C.L. Randle. In 2007, the current day reenactment organization, 1st Regiment Kentucky Volunteers, Company E raised enough funds to have the conservation cost estimated. To restore this flag will cost $22,000.00. Your contribution, no matter how big or small will help preserve this banner and the memory of those who fought and died under it.
